The need to adopt green building design and to recycle water is becoming more and more obvious every day. Many who live in affordable projects in Chennai have less control over their carbon footprint for one because they have a low footprint to begin with and because they are likely to be middle or lower middle income household that live in a development sharing limited resources with hundreds of others like themselves.
